Bobby’s coaching career began as a player-coach in minor league professional hockey

As Associate Head Coach, Mercyhurst won the 2014 Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) regular-season title, with awards going to the AHA Student-Athlete of the Year, Player of the Year, Goaltender of the Year, Best Defenseman, Sportsman of the Year, and Top Defensive Forward. In 2015, and for the fourth consecutive season, Mercyhurst earned a spot in the league tournament in Rochester, bolstered by four players who reached the 100-career-point plateau, an AHA record
Currently in his seventh season as the Head Coach of Trinity-Pawling School in the Founders League; Trinity-Pawling won the 2018 Founders League Championship
