Bobby Ferraris named Coaching Director for Whalers Youth Hockey; Hockey Director for Hartford Jr Wolfpack


  • Bobby’s coaching career began as a player-coach in minor league professional hockey 

  • Ferraris coached midget and junior hockey for the Connecticut Wolves

  • Assistant Coach and recruiting coordinator in NCAA DI College Hockey at American International College (2003-2005) and Mercyhurst University (2005-2015)

  • As Associate Head Coach, Mercyhurst won the 2014 Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) regular-season title, with awards going to the AHA Student-Athlete of the Year, Player of the Year, Goaltender of the Year, Best Defenseman, Sportsman of the Year, and Top Defensive Forward. In 2015, and for the fourth consecutive season, Mercyhurst earned a spot in the league tournament in Rochester, bolstered by four players who reached the 100-career-point plateau, an AHA record

  • Currently in his seventh season as the Head Coach of Trinity-Pawling School in the Founders League; Trinity-Pawling won the 2018 Founders League Championship

  • Trinity-Pawling hockey alums currently in NCAA DI Hockey at Army, BU, Dartmouth, Holy Cross, Mercyhurst, Merrimack, and UMass-Lowell

  • Scout for the Maryland Black Bears - NAHL and Youngstown Phantoms - USHL

  • Ferraris has a graduate degree in Psychology from American International and a degree in Sociology from Saint Anselm College
